Who we are
Linda Reid, Co-Founder and Director

A dedicated advocate for children, young people, women, and under represented communities. Always striving for equity for all, Linda has spent more than 25 years refining her craft. Linda is a highly skilled restorative practitioner, leader and facilitator with experience in the substance misuse, youth, public, charitable and criminal justice sectors.
As both the co-founder of Shine Unity Ltd and the Black Restorative Network, Linda is increasing the understanding of, and the accessibility to, restorative approaches in diverse communities.
Debbie Ellison, Co-Founder and Director

A retired Deputy Headteacher, with over 23 years as an inspirational educationalist; responsible for Inclusion, Diversity and Safeguarding. Debbie is trained in restorative practices and has fulfilled the role of Community Worker and Learning Mentor; working within school to bridge the gap between home and school, building positive working relationships with parents and staff.
Debbie has a passion for community engagement and for working with children and families who are at risk of social or educational exclusion. Debbie believes in early intervention and working with individuals or groups to achieve positive outcomes, to enable them to make informed choices and become proactive members of their community and society.
Polly Green, Director

Polly fell in love with Restorative Justice in 2016 and has been practising it since then.
She is a qualified restorative practitioner, has facilitated restorative justice, trained and worked with, restorative volunteers at two youth justice services in London.
She is a committed and active anti-racism campaigner, and is training as a systemic practitioner. Her aim is to make communities and individuals feel safer and able to engage fully in all areas of life.
Addressing the power in the room and enabling honest and authentic discussions between people who have been harmed or caused harm to another.
